I just returned from a glorious afternoon at Frieze NY. It was a beautiful day for a fair, especially one that is easiest to reach by ferry. Probably more than any other art fair I’ve attended in recent memory, a great variety of interesting and beautiful design-y art was on view. From Andrea Vittel’s cube shelves, the ‘sofa’ by Mathieu Mercier on which I found my friend Marco sitting, the monumental Ernesto Neto hammock or the arty sliding doors, there was a lot for the design-lover to see at the art fair. Frieze is open until Monday.
